Great Deals on Stylish Home Decor

For a girl who likes to decorate & craft, but is definitely on a budget, I have fallen in love with these sites I am about to share with you!

First up is Joss and Main. It is a great site to find contemporary home decor and accessory deals upto 70% off.  Above is some of the fabulous items they have offered in the last few weeks. The sales only last a few days and quantities are limited… so if you see something you love you gotta make that impulse buy or it may be gone when you come back.  But with such great deals, buyers remorse is hardly an issue :-)

Here is a few sentences right off their website on what they're all about.

For those who delight in discovery, the thrill of the find, and a daily dose of design inspiration, Joss & Main is a premier members-only site that offers limited-time sales on the world's best brands for your home and life.

Our carefully curated events - usually lasting just 3 days - showcase distinctive designs and trends, along with the talents of noted influencers from the interior design community.

Free to join, our site offers insider access to the highest quality housewares, furniture, décor accents, lifestyle accessories, giftables, and more at prices up to 70% off retail

Use this link to get FREE SHIPPING @ Joss and Main today (6/17) and I get a referral credit! Win for everyone!

Next up is One Kings Lane. It is very similar to Joss and Main. I have found that this one usually carries slightly more expensive items… especially in the furniture categories. But the designs and styles are just as cute! I have found several items on this website that have been perfect for gifts. The shipping on all three of the websites I am sharing with you today does take at least a week though so order early if you're buying items for gifts.
This last website, Very Jane, is different from the first two in that it is usually handmade crafts, gifts, and decor. I have ordered a handful of items from here (including the top three items in the picture above). The deals on Very Jane are super awesome. Some of the items for sale are by etsy sellers trying to get their name out there. I love supporting handmade goods and also getting a great deal on them.

So go check the sites out and get inspired.  Maybe even score some awesome deals on things that catch your eye.

Use my links above if you do decide to buy and I will get a surprise for referring all y'all!
Thanks and Happy Shopping!

Antiquing

I went to the greatest and biggest antique store that I have ever been to with my friend Allison a few weeks back. It was so much fun to spend the afternoon with her and her sweet son Finn! We found some really awesome things at even more awesome prices!! Check out some of the treasures I found!

Authentic Johnson City, TN Tri-City beverage company crate Originally $16.00 on sale for 20% off so got it for $12.80!!!

Milk Glass Vase $1.00

Antique wash tub AKA my new baby photo shoot prop $5.99

Vintage 1968 serve tray $4 and some change!

Baby Blue antique lamp base (need to find a shade) $5.00
Very beautiful antique tray $1.00!! Maybe my favorite find of the day!

ok so I lied THIS is my favorite find of the day… this awesomely handy storage stand thing.
I unscrewed all the screws, painted it white, and then went back and made it look antique by using a dry brush and grey paint. I love it!!! We did have a TV stand tray thing here with a wicker basket under it, filled with a bunch of junk … not cute… now we have this great, clean looking space that is super functional!

Bonus Pic: Allison cooling off sweet Finn in the antique store. He is the best baby around! Check out Allison's super awesome blog here

Happy Friday!

Container store AKA Heaven on Earth

For my 24th birthday, my sweet wonderful husband took me shopping for a whole day! I'm not talking about an afternoon or a few hours, no I'm talking about leaving out at 9:00 am and getting back home at 2:00 am. This says a lot because he hates shopping. Haha. But he loves me and he told me we could do whatever I wanted for the day the Saturday before my birthday.

And thanks to my ever-so-adicting pinterest love, and my inspiration for my closet board, I have been itching to update my wardrobe for some time now. Lucky for me, our families pretty much all sent cold hard cash for my birthday, so needless to say my shopping day was a great success!

So all that leads me to telling you about the the container store. I have heard stories of this place from friends who have been. I knew it was going to be good but it far exceeded my expectations. Now before you go start feeling sorry for Skot, I will tell you that he used my 2 hour container store experience to get a power nap out in the car. So it was good for everyone!

So basically like this post's title states: it was Heaven on earth. (probably only to those of us who are obsessed with organizing but I think there's something for everyone in this store).

There's lots of great displays like this one with ideas of how to use the products they sell. What a great marketing tool because I definitely saw things like this and was like "Oh my goodness I NEED my closet to be more organized!" ha.

The store is super organized too (go figure). it is arranged into sections according to what area of the house you would use the items in. They had office, gift wrapping, bathroom, kitchen, closet, garage, and laundry sections. They also had just a big area with lots of general containers. As sad as this truth is... I could seriously spend thousands of dollars in this store. But, I contained myself and just got things I felt like I couldn't live with out. (did you catch the pun harf harf). I'll post pictures soon of some of the items I got on this trip.

I thought these little jars were just darling. They would be great for small kitchen items like toothpicks.

They had your basic white and clear containers. Then they also had fun bright containers too. This would be perfect for organizing a kids room.

I thought this was super awesome and handy. I can't wait until we hopefully one day build a house. I'm going to get them to install handy gadgets like this everywhere!

This was an isle in the office section. See all the bright and pretty colors!

Oh what a happy day!
I hope that I somewhat got across all the greatness this store has to offer.

Thriftin'

I just love going to the Goodwill store. I always find the best kitchen nicknacks. I also find some great decorating things to remake. One of my favorite things to find are the antique looking frames. Give those things a fresh white coat of spray paint and it looks like you spent $40 at a boutique-type store.

On this particular day I found these cute coffee mugs (never can have to many coffee cups). They were 97 cents each! whoohooo

Then I also snagged this vintage looking juice container. I gave it a good soak in warm soapy water and the blue writing on the front came right off. This is what its doing now in my fridge….

Doesn't it look nice in there!

If you've never stopped in a thrift store, you should try it out. Some days are better than others but half the fun is the thrill of the hunt!
