This was a fun couple's shower we hosted for our wonderful friends Lauren and Dakota. They are a wonderfully down to earth couple, so I decided to go for a muted color scheme of soft brown and grey.
Once again I used my cricut to help me out making cute labels.
I also used it to cut out these little flags for the super cute paper straws I ordered off amazon. I for 144 for $5.99!!!
I dressed up basic white forks, spoons, and napkins by wrapping strips of scrapbook paper around them. To keep them wrapped I simply taped them and added a twine bow to dress them up even more.
Framing the shower invite is a simple and cute way to add personalized decorations at a shower. I just used a frame I had and placed it on a cake stand to make it stick out.
I love making banners for parties. They are cute and easy… my favorite combination. I had the pleasure of taking this couple's engagement pictures a few months back (you can check them out here). So I printed a few of my favorites out and hung them on the banner too.
My friend Laura has quiet the talent for making cake pops so I recruited her to make some color coordinated pops for the shower. They turned out great. She brought 90 to the shower and left with 0. So to say the least, they were a hit!!
This is the cute couple and guests of honor. Skot and I have been so blessed to have built great relationships with these two. They are good as gold!
I love hosting parties. My husband says its my spiritual gift haha. I enjoy preparing crafts for them, hunting for the recipes, making cute invites and decorating for them. But most of all, I love welcoming our friends and family into our home and sharing great community with them. That is what I love most.
Cute!
